Overview:

A state-of-the-art NOCCi Tool Room and Training Centre (NTTC) has been established, equipped with sophisticated engineering machinery to support both industrial services and skill development in North Odisha. The facility provides a dual function:

1. Production, repair, and maintenance support to local industries skilling of youth

2. Technical training and in machine operation and maintenance, aligned with industry standards.

Key Functions:

• Production & repair work for local industrial units.

•Precision component manufacturing and reverse engineering.

•Skill development and vocational training, aligned with the Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC) model.

Impact:

•NTTC is playing a vital role in supporting industries across North Odisha by offering services in repair, maintenance, prototype development, reverse engineering, and critical spare parts manufacturing.

•Since its commissioning in 2013, the training center has facilitated placements for over 5,000 students across Odisha and other states, in collaboration with IL&FS and NIAM.

•It has helped bridge the skill gap in the manufacturing sector, making local youth industry-ready and improving employability.
