The North Orissa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NOCCI) was established in 2006 in Balasore, representing the regions of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrakh, Keonjhar, and Jajpur. The chamber has played a significant role in the growth of the state's economy, creating world-class infrastructure such as a bypass road to Balgopalpur Industrial Estate, railway siding, and water pipeline.

With the liberalization and reforms process, Indian industry, business, and enterprise have evolved, with Orissa State becoming an investment destination. This has opened up opportunities for the economy, changing the perception of the state as poor.

NOCCI is actively involved in strengthening local industries and businesses by understanding their requirements and developing relevant consultative, advisory, and pressure tactics. It also advocates for a conducive environment for sustainable business growth in the region and state.

Founded to bring industries, trade, and commerce of North Orissa closer, NOCCI serves as an interface for companies to do business both locally and globally. It will catalyze change for its member companies by working closely with the government on policy issues, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness, and expanding business opportunities through specialized services.
